Our tips before your spray tan

To achieve an even, long-lasting spray tan, proper preparation and aftercare are essential. Follow Bronza’s tips before and after your treatment for the best possible long-lasting result.

Before Bronzing

To achieve an even and long-lasting result from your spray tan at Bronza, proper preparation is essential. By preparing your skin correctly before your self-tan treatment, you ensure a natural, sun-kissed tone that lasts longer.

01

Wax/Shave

If you want to wax/shave, do it no later than 48 hours before bronzing. This helps the pores close and reduces the risk of them absorbing colour. However, the colour does not adhere to body hair, so it’s perfectly fine to come unshaved.

02

Exfoliate the skin

Exfoliate your skin 24 hours beforehand so that your bronzing adheres better and fades more evenly. Do not apply oil/lotion when there is less than 24 hours left before your treatment.

03

Clean skin

At the treatment, your skin should be clean and dry with no makeup or deodorant. Avoid using products that contain oils on the body.

Before spray tan: Don’t apply any products to the skin on the same day, as it can ruin the result.

01

Loose-fitting clothing

We recommend wearing dark, loose clothing and roomy shoes after your spray tan. Tight clothing and underwear can leave marks. Excess color may stain your clothes, but it will wash out. No worries!

02

Shower

After your spray tan, shower without soap in lukewarm water for about 2–3 minutes, and use your hands to gently but thoroughly sweep over your entire body so the color rinses off evenly and properly. The brown excess color will wash away, while the bronzer pigments activate and then deepen over the next 24 hours. Pat your skin dry. Do not rub or scrub your skin.

03

Moisturize

Try not to use shower cream, shampoo, or exfoliating products during the first 24 hours after the treatment. However, it's great to moisturize your skin with body lotion immediately after your first shower and every day after using bronzing products.
