WHAT IS DHA?
DHA is a natural sugar substance from plant sources whose active ingredients react with the proteins and amino acids on the skin and create a sun-kissed color on the skin when you self-tanners.
The European Commission has introduced new restrictions on Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) in spray liquids and self-tanning products.
WHAT DOES THE EU RESTRICTIONS REGARDING DHA MEAN?
From 26 January 2022, we (Bronza) as a distributor may not sell products with more than 10% DHA.
From 22 April, you as a retailer may not sell or use products with more than 10% DHA.
IMPACT ON BRONZA'S PRODUCTS
Bronza has been aware of the new directive for a long time and has therefore, together with our manufacturer, developed and adapted our spray tan liquids and self-bronzing products so that they comply with the new EU directives.
The recipe has been corrected and the updated formula has been tested on the market over the past year. We can therefore guarantee that the products are unchanged when it comes to color, results and durability, and that they maintain the same high quality as before.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
• Bronza's products meet EU requirements and legislation
• Bronza's products are of the same high quality as before
• You can feel confident that our products are safe to use
• Products purchased by retailers after August 2021 are already corrected and are approved for use after April 22
